    Bengt & Lotta, Švédsko

Bengt Lindberg and Lotta Glave were a couple already at university, studying graphic art and illustration. After graduating, Lotta got a job at one of Sweden’s main newspapers, Dagens Nyheter and Bengt at an ad agency that turned out to be a pretty boring job. Neither of them could resist the flow of creative ideas that kept coming. For Bengt, it all started with a cow, which became a cast iron candleholder.

    FunkyDoris logo

Our design philosophy is simple, we simply want to surround ourselves with charming everyday products in lasting quality. Our style is uncomplicated, warm and humorous. We say that Pablo Picasso: “God invented the giraffe, the elephant, the cat. He has no real style. He just goes on trying things” … a bit like us.

    Lina Johansson, Švédsko

Lina ? That would be me! I graduated from the Swedish School of Textiles in 2012, and founded my business right away, eager to work with textile design on my own terms and be able to realise my dreams and ideas.

On any given day, you’ll probably find me in my studio in Nykvarn, outside Stockholm, where I’ll be focused on getting my products out into the world or dreaming up new patterns and palettes. I love to work with textiles, since they can add so much value to a home. Blankets, cushions and rugs make a room look warm, cosy and welcoming, while adding a wonderful splash of colour and texture. Textiles even create a more pleasant soundscape! My goal is to create things that you can love and really use for decades. I look far and wide to source high-quality materials and work primarily with manufacturers in the EU, so every item is ready to live a long life in your home.

    Wiggles & Florence, UK

The idea behind Wiggles & Florence was conceived in the spring of 2012 by artist and designer Susan Robertson. Susan had studied at Farnham College of Art before moving to Mid-Wales where she continued to work, taking both inspiration and creativity from such beautiful rural surroundings. After producing a series of artworks featuring a variety of interesting properties pictured within their gardens, she thought some of the floral and horticultural elements may be ideal for decorating a small range of ceramics. There was such an enthusiastic reaction to the first mock-ups that it seemed like a good idea to make them available to a wider audience and hey-presto Wiggles and Florence was born.

The designs are all created by Susan from her home studio in an old Victorian kitchen garden in Mid-Wales and result in unique and charming products that will bring a fresh and vibrant look to any table. …..Oh yes, and just in case you needed to know - Wiggles & Florence were the names of two pet tortoises that Susan & her sister had as a children.
